Pharmacy Assistant Training

To assist you in providing  superior, value added service to your customers with diabetes, Diabetes WA has developed a Diabetes Training Session for Pharmacy Assistants.

Based on feedback, all pharmacies that sent staff to the training agreed that the topics covered were beneficial to their pharmacy. In addition, 95% of attendees indicated that the training was “value for money” and that they would “send more staff to the training”. 91% of all attendees similarly felt that their confidence had increased following their attendance.

At the end of the training, participants will, in addition:

• Understand the different types of diabetes, their causes, symptoms and key management strategies
• Know more about the NDSS and what it offers people with diabetes, including free education and information programs
• Feel confident telling customers about the education and information programs Diabetes WA can offer them, many of which are free to NDSS registrants
• Are able to advise customers of other community based diabetes services they can access throughout WA
• Can let your customers at risk of, or concerned about diabetes know about a range of great services designed to help them prevent type 2 diabetes

The training costs $150 per person (inclusive of GST) and places are strictly limited.
