Hearing and Your Ears

2pm - 3.30pm

Hearing loss is one of the many problems experienced by diabetics, which are often put down to simply ‘getting older’ rather than being linked to their diabetes. Type 2 diabetes and hearing loss have been medically linked for many years, and it is recommended that diabetics should have regular hearing tests as part of their routine screening.

Hearing and your Ears is a new information session conducted by Australian Hearing who is a Government agency dedicated to helping people manage their hearing impairment so they have a better quality of life.

This information session will cover;
• Hearing loss and Ageing
• Tinnitus
• Whistling hearing aids
• Cleaning of moulds & changing of aid batteries
• Alternate listening devices
• Services provided by Australian Hearing.

Cost: FREE for NDSS Registrants and Diabetes WA members, $20 for all others.

Bookings for our group education programs are essential. To book your place in a program or for any other enquiries, phone (08) 9325 7699 or go to bookings@diabeteswa.com.au and leave your details and one of our Customer Service representatives  will return your call.
