Diabetes WA

You may already be familiar with the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS), Diabetes Australia and Diabetes WA. Together, we support all Western Australians living with diabetes by ensuring that they have the vital products, information and services they need.

1. The National Diabetes Services Scheme

The NDSS is an initiative of the Australian Government that enables people with diabetes to access diabetes-related products at subsidised prices as well as valuable information and support services.

2. Diabetes Australia

Diabetes Australia administers the NDSS nationally and aims to create easy access to and supply of products to registrants throughout Australia. To achieve this, and in-line with the NDSS head agreement, Diabetes Australia subcontracts the provision of these services to Agents.

3. Diabetes WA

Diabetes WA is the Agent for coordinating the NDSS within Western Australia, ensuring the smooth delivery of products to registrants through orders and approved pharmacies and health services – referred to as NDSS Agencies. Diabetes WA also offers a number of support and education services to help people live well with diabetes.

There are three ways to purchase NDSS products in wa:

Visit any of our approved Agencies and purchase your products over the counter
Place a mail order using an NDSS order form
Order your products over the phone by calling the NDSS team at Diabetes WA on (08) 9325 7699.
