Saturday 14 November is World Diabetes Day – a day when people around the world come together to show their support for those living with this chronic condition.

Diabetes WA welcomes the launch of the new Australian National Diabetes Strategy 2016–2020 and hopes it will strengthen the fight against the nation’s biggest health threat.

Results will be published in the West Australian on Wednesday 30/09/2015.

All major diabetes-related organisations in Western Australia have come together to form an alliance to promote the shared cause of diabetes – the state’s fastest growing chronic condition.

UWA researchers are seeking study participants with type 1 diabetes, aged 18-35.

AMSL Diabetes, in consultation with the TGA, is recalling Animas 2020 and IR 1200 insulin pumps.

Calls in which people are asked to make a regular deduction from their credit card to the Diabetes Heart and Stroke Association have been reported.

Results will be published in the West Australian on Wednesday 20 May
