Spokespeople

At Diabetes WA, we aim to raise awareness in the community about diabetes and the impact it has on people’s lives. One important way we do this is by working with the media.

As part of our media activity, we often require volunteers to be spokespeople or ‘case studies’ for newspaper articles or radio/television programs. When people share their stories of how diabetes has affected their lives, it brings the reality of the condition home to others.

If you have diabetes, are at risk of type 2 diabetes, or have a family member with diabetes and you would like to tell your story, please contact us (see below).

Please be assured that when you are on our list of media volunteers, there is absolutely no obligation to be interviewed. You will be contacted by Diabetes WA before your details are passed to any journalist.

Diabetes Matters is our quarterly high quality magazine, which is full of lifestyle articles, diabetes management tips, recipes and the latest in research developments. Diabetes Matters is distributed to over 18,000 health-aware members of the community and read by more than 25,000.
