It is with disappointment that we announce the HBF Run for a Reason, on Sunday 24th May, has been cancelled as a precaution against COVID-19.
We fully support HBF’s decision to cancel the event as a safety precaution. People living with conditions such as diabetes have a lower immunity and are therefore more vulnerable to infection and face greater risks of becoming severely ill or suffering complications as a result. As a health organisation, we want to make sure all people living with diabetes can live full and healthy lives – it’s just not worth the risk!
Thank you to everyone who has already registered and donated to the event – we really appreciate all the support. In particular, we would like to thank our Run for a Reason Ambassador, Emily Vuong, for all her help!
For more information about the event, registrations refunds and more, please visit the HBF website
If you would like to donate to support Western Australians living with diabetes, please visit the DWA Gluco-goers team Everyday Hero fundraising page.
