Type 1 kids camp

Diabetes WA and Perth Children’s Hospital, supported by the National Diabetes Services Scheme, partner to run annual camps for children living with Diabetes during school holidays.

Diabetes camps aim to connect children who are living with diabetes with one another, increase confidence in their ability to self-manage diabetes, as well as reduce the isolation that can come with living with a chronic condition.

Children can participate in a range of outdoor activities and games during camp under the care of health professionals, learning that diabetes is not a barrier in participation.
