Connect with Diabetes

The easiest way to get started on your diabetes journey!

Connect with Diabetes is a free diabetes awareness event for people who are at risk of type 2 diabetes, people living with type 2 diabetes, or anyone who would like to know a bit more about the condition.

The focus lies on type 2 diabetes. Presented by Diabetes WA health professionals, this diabetes event enables you to:

  • find out if you or your family are at risk
  • better understand diabetes and the importance of self management
  • find out what you are entitled to receive under the NDSS
  • find out what local health services are available in your area
  • make small changes to live a healthier life with your loved ones
Connect with diabetes information session - all welcome

What does it involve?

When you attend Connect with Diabetes, you will have the opportunity to connect with other people in your area with similar questions around type 2 diabetes. You can also speak to a diabetes educator by yourself afterwards if you need to.

At the end of the event, you are empowered to pro-actively make small changes for diabetes prevention and diabetes management. You will receive information material to take home for reference.

Connect with Diabetes is a 2.5 hour introduction to type 2 diabetes. Many people attend this diabetes event before they do more advanced workshops such as DESMOND or SMART workshops.
