Diabetes webinars for Health Professionals – LIVE and onDemand
Diabetes WA LIVE for Health Professionals is a series of educational webinars covering current hot topics on diabetes management. This series enables health professionals around WA to hear the latest information on how to help their diabetes patients.
Our webinar series is especially important because the restrictions to combat COVID-19 mean that face-to-face diabetes training is currently unavailable.
Regional health professionals may already be aware of our Telehealth Upskilling program of events. Due to the current situation, we have increased the number of topics and sessions, and opened the series to metro health professionals.
Sessions are shown on the calendar on the right of this page.
To stay in the loop, signup to our DIALOG newsletter for health professionals.
How does a webinar work?
A Diabetes WA webinar is a live, online presentation conducted by a Credentialled Diabetes Educator using the Zoom platform. You can participate using a computer, tablet or smartphone. It is interactive – you can ask questions by typing into the chat function of the presentation.
How can I register for a webinar?
Sessions are shown in the calendar on the right of this page. Click on the event you want to book into and click the “register now” button. Enter your details and click the “submit booking” button.
You will receive an email confirmation, and then closer to the event you will receive an email with the instructions for how to join the webinar. Please make sure you click the link when the webinar is about to start.
If the event is booked out, we will place you on a waitlist and contact you when a place becomes available.
How can I watch a previous session?
Participating in a webinar Live enables you to ask questions and have them answered. However if you cannot attend and would like to watch a previous webinar in your own time, click on the session you are interested in under the “pre-recorded webinars” panel on the right hand side of this page.
